What's inside

OptiPlax is a 500 mg proprietary blend of nine ingredients:

  • Kelp powder
  • Wakame extract
  • Astaxanthin (from Haematococcus pluvialis algae)
  • Chlorella powder
  • Ecklonia cava brown seaweed extract
  • Kelp extract (standardized to 10% fucoxanthin)
  • Nori yaki powder
  • Spirulina powder
  • Sea buckthorn oil

Ingredient list from the Supplement Facts label shown on the manufacturer's website. Because it's a proprietary blend, the amount of each ingredient isn't listed.

How it's made

  • Made in the USA
  • GMP-certified practices
  • Made in an FDA-registered facility

As shown on the manufacturer's label. An FDA-registered facility is not the same as FDA approval: the FDA does not approve dietary supplements.

How to take it

The label recommends one capsule a day with 6–8 oz of water, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Good to know: sudden changes in vision, eye pain, flashes or new floaters need prompt care from an eye doctor, and regular eye exams matter even if you take a supplement. Kelp and other seaweeds contain iodine, so talk to your doctor before taking OptiPlax if you have a thyroid condition, take any medication or are pregnant or breastfeeding. The label says it's not for anyone under 18.
